Authorities warn about ‘meth candy’ – WAOW

(WAOW) — Halloween offers fun and frights IN GOOD NATURE, but officials want to also remind you of tricks to stay safe.

Grant County sheriffs say they have seen something dangerous resembling hard candy turning up in parts of Wisconsin.

Last week, they found what they’re calling “meth candy” during a motel bust. Officials say the meth candy has been spreading throughout eastern Iowa, but this is the first time it has appeared in Wisconsin.

While officials say they have received no reports of the meth candy being offered to kids to this point, anyone with concerns about candy their child receives while trick-or-treating should be brought to their attention.
